2 Months Old

Grayson is growing like a weed! I am shocked by how chunky he is compared to how his brother was. This month Grayson started to wake up a bit more but he is still really sleepy and loves to go to sleep after eating. He is starting to sleep longer stretches at night. The longest we have gotten from him is a 6 hour stretch but that only happened once. He loves to cuddle and often bring him into bed with me in the morning so he will sleep longer. He grasps at objects more and he grabs his own shirt all the time, especially when he is hungry. He isnt much of a crier, but when he does he is easy to console. 

His smiles are the cutest and he is starting to coo more. We absolutely love his cooing! We have even heard a little bit of a giggle from him. I cant wait to hear more giggles in the future.

Dallin is still coming around to Grayson, but we can see the love Dallin has for his brother. He often asks if Grayson is OK and is patient with me when I am feeding Grayson. Dallin likes to help during Grayson's tummy time and makes sure Grayson always has a blanket when he is in the swing. It is so cute watching the two of them together. 

Grayson 1 Month Old

Weight: 10 lbs

Height: 21 inches

Grayson is one month old today and time seems to be flying. He is such a calm and sweet baby. He rarely cries and if he does cry, he calms down immediately after being picked up. He is growing like a champ and is already starting to look chubby. Grayson loves to sleep and for the majority of this month he has been asleep! He is only just now starting to wake up. However, he wakes every two hours to eat at night so he isnt the greatest night sleeper. Grayson loves the car and loves being worn in the wrap. He also loves his swing. He even takes a pacifier for a little bit which Tyler is excited about. So far I think he loves everything because he is so calm. Dallin is still a little unsure about having a brother, but he is slowly warming up and I even got him to hold Grayson for a second. Literally a second and then he said he was done. Being a mom of two is a bit more difficult but so far we are surviving :)

Happy Birthday!

We had a small party for Dallin. Aunt Hope came over for dinner, cake, and presents. Dallin enjoyed it all!

Which one next?

12 Months Old

Weight:  21 lbs                    Height:  30 inches

Dallin is ONE! He is even more curious and fun this month than he was last month. Now he has started walking and he points at everything. He still doesn't say many words, but he makes lots of noises. "Dada" is still his favorite thing to say. He even folds his arms by himself for prayer. He doesn't hold them there long, but he does it and it is so cute to watch. Books are slowly becoming a favorite and so is going outside. I notice he is much happier during the day if we get out and go swing or something. He loves to have shoes on because it means he gets to go out :)

11 months old

These pictures are getting harder and harder to take! Dallin moved around the whole time and just wanted to sit on my lap and touch the camera. He is so curious! That is one thing I love about him. He always has to inspect things. Lately he even started inspecting our block towers before knocking them down. He looks under everything and loves to explore. 

This month Dallin grew two more teeth giving him a total of 6. He points at everything and loves to wave at everyone. He also started stacking his toys! At first I thought he was doing it on accident but then he started to do it over and over again. He can stack three blocks on top of one another. His stacking cups keep him occupied for quite a while as well. He can stand unassisted when he wants to but won't do it if we try to help him. He does what he wants when he wants to! Oh, which reminds me, he started throwing tantrums. He bangs his head against the floor to show his frustration. Boy it's fun! Thankfully those tantrums don't happen too often.

10 Months Old

Weight: 19.4 pounds   Height: about 29 inches

Dallin is getting more adventurous every day! He will now wander the apartment on his own. We often find him in our closet playing with shoes. He loves the outdoors and crawls like a mad man to get outside when we open the front door. It is pretty dang cute! We also started rolling a ball back and forth and he is kind of getting the hang of it. He gets excited and will clap his hands when he he is able to roll the ball to us. I love it! He is growing up so fast.

Likes:

+ Dropping food from his high chair

+ Going outside

+ Opening and closing doors

+ Chewing on his crib

+ Feeding himself

+ Racing to the door when he hears daddy come home

+ Practicing walking with our help

Dislikes:

+ Sitting still for too long (which makes church difficult!)

+ Eating from a spoon unless it is something he really loves

+ Having things taken from him

9 Months Old

 Height: 29.5 inches Weight: 18.5 pounds

Our baby is nine months old! Someone pinch me! I can't believe it!

This month Dallin grew two more teeth which means he has a total of four teeth now. He started grinding them together but I hope that wont last long. He learned to pull to a stand this month and learned how to safely get down, He also got some of his first bruises on his head from falling :(. He also graduated from his funky army crawl to regular crawling! I mean, he still does his army crawl because that is what he is comfortable with, but he is starting to crawl on all fours more and more every day. Oh and he finally learned to sit up for longer periods without toppling over!
