7 Months

Height: 27.5 in
Weight: about 17 lbs

This month you:

+ Got your first tooth! You were chewing on everything and it finally popped through.

+ Learned to sit up! We practiced a lot more this month and your balance has improved. You cant sit up for extended periods but if you have the right toys dangling in front of you, you are more motivated.

+Tried Gerber puffs! You kind of gag on them but you are slowly learning to chew.

+ Got better at eating purees. You don't stick your tongue out as often, but it still happens!

+ Really found your voice. At night you yell when you wake up rather than cry. At dinner you yell as loud as you can and your dad and I can hardly hear each other talk. Dallin looks at me all the time and says "He's so LOUD!". You really are loud! If we lose track of what we are doing when feeding you, you yell at us as well. Lots and lots of yelling!

6 Months

Weight: 16 lbs 3.5 oz
Height: 27 in

This month:

You rolled! I wasn't in the room which made me sad but when I came back you had rolled from your back to your belly! It took you a couple more weeks to do it again but you did it!

You didn't really like solid foods. Bananas may be your favorite though. Sweet potatoes are a close second. You never really open your mouth when we feed you and you almost always stick out your tongue making it even harder to feed you! But it cute.

You are sleeping well at night with only waking 1-2 times. You also take 3 naps a day and you make it obvious when you need another one! You have even fallen asleep in your bouncer a couple of times and your brother tried to wake you up but you were out!

You aren't fond of letting other people hold you lately and cry a lot when we pass you off to someone. Stranger Danger is a real thing for you!

You got your first cough this month which was very sad. It was also your first doctors appointment for anything other than a Well Check.

You love watching the phone when we video chat with people.

Every morning you like to look out the window after nursing. I can tell you get distracted sometimes before you eat because all you want me to do is lift you up so you can see out.

You finally started enjoying your toys! You are curious about them and grab at them a lot. You are starting to have favorite toys. You love this laptop toy that sings songs and has moving lights. If you are crying when I am busy, I ask Dallin to go bring the toy to you and you always stop crying afterwards.
